Sheldon decides to have Amy and Bernadette talk to them over the phone, since they are women scientists and the guys did not impress the students. Earlier, Raj wants advice for his date with Lucy, and Bernadette suggests they go to Disneyland. Raj thinks it's a bad idea, but the girls get excited. They play hooky from work, go to Disneyland and get made up as Disney Princesses. Bernadette insists on being Cinderella, forcing Penny to be Sleeping Beauty, while Amy is Snow White. Raj decides to have a texting date with Lucy at a library because he can't talk to her. They enjoy themselves, but Lucy has a panic attack when she tries to kiss Raj and runs off. While organizing Sheldon finds a unopened letter from Howard's Dad dated on his 18th birthday that Howard doesn't want to read and later burns. Everyone gets Sheldon to tell them what he read in the letter. Howard still doesn't want to know what was in it. Then each member of the gang tells Howard a different story about the contents of the letter, though only one is true. Howard does feel better and hopes that all of them are true, except maybe Sheldon's pirate story. Penny's formal dinner party continues while Sheldon cleans out Penny's closet. He embarrasses her when he finds a battery operated "dog toy" ( her vibrator) and the party is quickly over. PG 0/10 The Tenure Turbulence Barry Kripke informs the gang that Professor Tupperman has died, opening up a tenured position at Caltech that Leonard, Sheldon, Raj, and Barry all qualify for. Mrs. Davis of Human Resources, who knows Sheldon from Alex's sexual harassment complaint, is on the tenure committee and both Leonard and Barry ambush her in the gymnasium exercise room. Leonard has an asthma attack from trying to work out and talk to her at the same time. Sheldon gives Mrs. Davis (an African-American) a DVD set of the miniseries Roots and has similar stereotypical gifts for the other committee members. Because Raj can't talk to Mrs. Davis directly, he sends her a lengthy online video promoting himself. At first the guys all agree not to go to Professor Tupperman's memorial service because it would look like they were trying to impress the committee. After talking with Amy and Penny, they all decide to attend the memorial service. Amy coaches Sheldon in what not to say and Penny is wearing a little black dress to flirt with the committee members. They begin to argue, but ultimately decide to work together to prevent Barry from getting the job. Later, Sheldon goes back to Mrs. Davis's office and apologizes that his gift to her was inappropriate and thanks her after he finds out that he, Leonard, and Raj are all on the final short list. She replies that they are all qualified in their fields despite their quirks. Sheldon says "I don't know what you mean by quirks." He then tries a dap greeting that again flusters Mrs. Davis.
